PCB Stackup Design and Materials Selection and Hands-on Z-planner Product Workshop
Description: This course guides design teams – from hardware engineers to layout designers and fabricators – through the process of evaluating and selecting the right laminate for a design, creating PCB stackups that meet the requirements of complex, multilayer boards that work right the first time, within budget, and with reproducible results across multiple fabricators. We will go into detailed tradeoffs between loss and cost, including dielectric loss, resistive loss, surface roughness, as well as glass-weave skew. The course includes hands-on software labs that parallel and reinforce the course material.
Class length: 1 day — 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (Half-day sessions are also available at the same price.)
Who should attend: Hardware engineers, PCB designers, fabricators
Prerequisite: Basic understanding of printed circuit board design. Basic understanding of signal integrity issues in PCB design helpful.
